Stanton Pre-School was founded as a playgroup in 1970, when it was then known as Stanton Parents and Under Fives. Over the past forty years it has evolved into a thriving centre for Early Years education for children from 2 to 5 years of age, with learning through play at the heart of its constitution.
“To provide high quality childcare and education in an environment that is safe and stimulating, where children learn about their world by playing, and where everyone is treated as an individual.”
Our home is the Old School Building in the centre of the village of Stanton, and as such is perfectly suited to cater for the children of Stanton and the surrounding villages. The setting comprises a large main room with an integral kitchen, with toilets and changing facilities adjacent to this.
We also have an outdoor play area that children are able to access freely, where they can ride tricycles, play on the slide and dig in the sand. There is also a planting area to enable the children to learn how plants grow and where food comes from. During the summer the children are taken on supervised walks along the village's footpaths, and have access to the school playing field.
